Tips for the Bride: Things You May Forget When it Comes to Your Big Day
Hi friends,
It currently looks like nighttime outside (it’s 3:47 pm), and I’m sitting here in athleisure and an Eeyore robe. What better time than to talk about some of my tips for brides! These are all things you may forget about when the big day comes.
Pack a toothbrush. Keep that mouth feeling freshity fresh. Also pack those flosser things.
Ask your makeup artist for your lipstick color at your trial. That way you can buy an extra tube for touch ups.
Pick a signature scent. Totally not a must, but some brides like picking out a perfume especially for the wedding day. This way every time you smell it, you remember your special day! Maybe spray it once before the wedding so you can see if your fiance likes it.
Have someone film your seamstress doing your bustle. That way he or she can recreate it at your wedding. Better yet, have them practice it once at your appointment before they pack and press your gown.
Break in your shoes. Wear them around the house so you can break them in and see if they tend to rub in a particular spot, need some extra padding put in a certain area, etc.
Watch out when it comes to bracelets. They tend to catch on the fabric. I say skip the bracelet all together.
Make sure a steamer is available. First make sure your gown can be steamed, and then call ahead if you’re staying somewhere other than your house and ask if they have a steamer you can use for your gown in case it wrinkles.
Put the bouquet down! Please do not hold it up in the middle of your body. Hold it lower or else you’ll obstruct your gorgeous gown and/or it will look like your head is a part of the arrangement.
Don’t get hammered. You want to remember the big day!
